The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance (BHA) wants to understand and share more of Breckenridge’s contemporary history, specifically from the late 1950s until the 1990s. One way we plan to accomplish this is through a new oral history program. Long-time residents from that era will be interviewed. Recordings will be housed in the Archives and used for future research and interpretation. Some residents may be captured on film in addition to an audio recording. The oral history program will help BHA preserve its “contemporary” history and memorialize the highlights, challenges and developments that shaped Breckenridge.
If you have a story to share and would like to participate in the BHA Oral History Project, please contact the Archives to set up an interview.
