The keyword search allows you to perform a general search across multiple fields (i.e. Title, Collection, Description, People, Place) for all photographic material available online.
Enter keywords, each separated with a space. Photographs will be selected if the fields contain any of the words (i.e. Denver Hotel will result in photograph records with the words hotel or Denver).
To search for a specific phrase, type AND between keywords. For example, Mary AND Marks will return all photograph records with the phrase Mary Marks, including images from the Mary Marks Photograph Collection, 1890-1910. Denver AND Hotel will search for photographs with the Denver Hotel.
You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard: ski* results in records containing ski, skis, skiing, skiers, and skirts!
Searches are not case sensitive.
