|Title||Interior view of the parlor, C.A. Finding residence, Breckenridge (Colo.)--1890|
Card mount photograph by Otto Westerman showing a view of the parlor looking through the doorway to the music room in the C.A. Finding home in Breckenridge. A large dog is asleep on the floral carpeted floor. A cast iron parlor stove anchors the room. The doorway, draped with heavy, tassled curtains, is flanked by a secretary desk and a bookshelf. The furniture is topped with decorative items and small framed pictures. A large book, probably the Bible, is prominently displayed on a metal book stand. Wicker rocking chairs and wooden chairs are placed along the edges of both rooms. Decorative items throughout include framed pictures and porcelain plates supported on easels, seashells and vases. Doilies, antimacassars and tasseled cloth runners cover chair backs and tables.
